Been using this for almost 10 years, it works great. My only concern is Apple updated everyone to iOS 11 awhile ago and any app not ready for iOS 11 was removed from the App Store. So I hate to lose my log of years of data because Apple might update again and the developer not update some app but that could happen with any app really.
Used this app for a few years with no problem. Stupid me updated to the newest version and now it crashes 30-40 times in one workout!
I love the app but 3stars because you guys are missing a timer and if you could throw in a graph to see the results this app would be fire please add the timer tho it’s important
I really enjoy using this app so far. It has a simple interface and does what I need it to do. It took time for me to log all my workouts but it was worth it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the app does tend to crash a lot. It’s not really a huge problem. I just open it back up and my data is saved. It’s just a little annoyance.
I was debating fitlist and strong. Read a post online about this being super simple and gave it a shot. It's perfect for what it is... An easy to use log app for your workouts. Those other apps were fine, but they gave me a bunch of stuff that I just did not need. This is very customizable because you actually put your exercise names in instead of trying to find them on lists. Took less time. It is definitely just as quick to log between sets too. If you need 1 rep max estimates and warm up calculators with charts, this isn't for you. But if you want to track the weight you've been lifting to make sure you are getting stronger, this works just as good for free.
Love the simplicity of this log. Just write the routing and add the weight/reps. No bs like some of the other apps.
I like that the app is uncluttered and easy to use--which means I actually use it. It tracks everything I want to track and does not need a bunch of other functionality. Perfect as a substitute for notebook to log your various workouts. Wouldn't want to add complexity, but would love for it to: 1) Track or highlight PRs so you don't have to search through each workout to find them, 2) Show the note on summary view. There is no way of knowing there is a note attached to a workout unless you drill down, 3) Have the ability to export, sync, and print the log to PC/Mac.
I was looking for a simple, functional app where I could log my run times/stats (distance/time, calories burned, etc) as well as track weight training stats (weight, sets, reps, etc). After using the app for a while I do think there are a few functions or features it would be nice if this app had, such as some kind of graphing function which would allow you to graph all data points from a particular category or sub category against time to create a visual progress report. It would also be nice if the app had a section, were the user could track one or more person's body weight and measurements (bust/chest, waist, hip, etc). Other than possibly upgrading the app's appearance and adding a few more features I chose this app because it had the basic functions I wanted without a ton of extra features I won't use. Developers did a great job creating such a simplistic gym companion App.
I like it, I use it because it's simple and works and doesn't make me do weird stuff. But.....I wish there was a notification that told you when your previous exercise log had a note in it. I switch up my routine a lot and I take a lot of notes, and it would be nice to see when I recorded a note. Also, 6 and 6 plus optimization. Watch optimization but no 6 plus? Again, I use it because it's simple and doesn't make me do weird stuff, but a few more features would be nice.
Basic gym log. If you already know what you're doing and just need to log it. This is perfect for you. It's a diary/notepad/list made for the gym. With the dev would give the option to set lbs as a default
Just what I was looking for. If you want a basic app for logging your workouts without all the extras that can sometimes be nothing more than a distraction....this may be your app. No complaints.
This app first came out back in 2011. Back then, there were only 1 or 2 "blank slate" type gym log apps available, and this one was one of them. For what was available at the time, this app was decent, but it lacked features. We are now in 2015, and this app remains the same. Other than minor compatibility updates, nothing has been done to it. Today, there are dozens of other similar apps that are light years ahead of it. Too bad cause this app was on the right track.
I use this app all the time and love it and was ready to step up to the premium version. I had assumed the premium would sync between my Apple mobile devices; however, I found all the "premium" does is cut the ads. Too bad. I'll keep my 99 cents.
When we be able to export date to a saved website or cloud service? Would also be nice to import onto different devices.
Very simple, but a nice app, and one of the few I could find that still supports ios 4.2.1
I like the easy to use format, but I can't view my historical workouts! What's the point? A workout log is a "must have" capability for an app like this
Input is quick and easy, but the addition of a feature to look at a summary of a previous workout on one page would make it 5-star worthy. Currently, you must go to each I do usual exercise to review what reps were on the previous workout.
Why is it so difficult to see my previous workouts. There is so much wasted space on the screens. If this is corrected I would happily pay for the pro version. Or maybe if the pro version actually said what the difference was...
I love the app, but I went in to see my progress from weights I used in the past and they updated to my most current weight I was lifting (bummer)
This app makes keeping track of my exercise so much easier. Before, I was just doing things sporadically, not knowing exactly what I was doing. This is perfect for me!
The app does what it's suppose to do (track workout stations), but it needs developing. It's difficult to view history or make sense out of the accumulated data. To start a new workout session, you must enter each set for for each workout station.
My only complaint is that when looking at a "session" if there was a notes section, so I could make notes about how to preform an exercise or write down how many sets I should do.. etc. I know you can make notes for each set, but if there was a general notes area for an exercise that'd be great! Other wise I love this app because I write down whatever I want. I hate gym logs where you need to search for an exercise to be able to log it. The other thing I would like is if there was a settings so I could change it to be on pounds for default rather than kilograms.
Buena aplicacion pero le falta poder exportar todo lo que se a escrito a otros dispositivos
It has good layout, workouts and exercises in it can be added. Provided with notes for any particular exercise. I say it's a great app and does the work without extra bells and whistles.
Good app, easy to use, but hard to review past entries. Like others have said, an export feature would make this much better and would be worth paying a few bucks for.
It needs a calendar view of past workout sessions. It also needs ability to export data like via email in a spreadsheet. It is a little hard to find everything I did on a previous day.
Like app but would pay for added features like exporting workout data. TP
This app would be perfect if you could view what you did by day rather than just by exercise.
I really like that this is so customizable. It would be nice though if you could change the date of a logged workout.vi don't always have a chance to log it that day and it would be nice to have accurate dates.
This app is great and simple enough that I just log and go. Please make a place to view notes within workout log screen. I don't like having to click into separate screen.
This app is simple and easy to use. My only complaint is that you can't edit the date. I would like to enter previous sessions but everything is entered with the current date.
Great gym companion. Easy to keep track of weight levels etc. iPhone 5 compatibility in the future???
Downloaded it hoping it wasn't as screwed up as some of the other ones I have tried to use. It's not, the fact that you and whatever exercise you want is awesome. The only thing you can't do is change the date, fix that and it will be 5 star worthy.
This app needs the option to change the date! I want to log my old workouts in this from my paper log but there is no option to edit the date.. Fix this and the app goes up to 5 stars, definitely. And also, there needs to be an option to copy workouts- its a pain to have to retype everything!
I just started using this App, and I Love It. I would have given it 5 stars if you could share the data between devices iPad/iPhone via the iCloud. I really think this is a downfall to this app, and should be an update SOON. I really like working with this app, and look forward to an update of iCloud share soon! FireWolf
I really do love the app. It's easy to use and customizable. The only issue I have with it is that I can't see every exercise I did on any given day. That would really be useful. If I pull see a total workout, I would have rated it 5 stars.
Would be a 4 or 5 if you could edit the date. But I like so far!
So I move from machine to machine at the gym and wanted something to track it through my own design instead of complex training items in a layout that doesn't match my gym. As I wanted, this app tracks well! It's also very simple to log it so it's convenient to use while ur suffering from the pain.
Great customizable workout log. I'm sure the developers will add to its functionality in the future. I would like to see the ability to enter weight and measurements, as well as progression photos. Great log though.
I agree, use of I cloud to automatically transfer data would be awesome
This is a great, customizable app. I would like to see the ability to sync/export data. For example, send my workout to my trainer. Also adding a stopwatch, calendar reminders to go work out would be cool.
The way I set mine up is on the first screen I wrote Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat On the second screen the name of the exercises for that day. On Mon, Wed, Fri I do pull exercise on Tue, Thur, Sat the push exercise I wish there was a copy function so the exercises for the days of the weeks could be copied instead of manually entered from one day to another.
I love this app. My most used app by far. I love how I have a blank page to work on. I do not like all of the other apps that have workouts pre-set. I know what I want to do and only that! My only issue is I log on my iPad but sometimes want it on my iPhone and I cannot transfer the data between the two. If they can make this information transferable this app would be amazing!!!!
This app is good but I can not pull up my last workout and see all the exercises on one sheet. I have to go through each exercise to know what I did yesterday, last week or any time in between. It would be helpful to also have a drop down feature of only the exercises I have logged on. That would allow me to load my exercises by sessions not by exercises.
I like the simplicity, however I wanted to be able to program my workout and enter my goals. I want to plan out and save how much weight I plan to do.
Awesome. Very simple to use and gets the job done, plus it's FREE. Just wish there was a way to edit workout names without having to delete causing all the exercises within that workout to delete as well.
I found this app to be very helpful when I was keeping record of my workout stats. I tried a couple different "workout log" apps but I thought this one was the best. It could be set up a little better but overall it's a useful app that I would recommend you get.
Not just a blank piece of paper as previous reviewer said. You have to go thru the process of adding the workout, adding the exercise, then finally adding the individual exercise session. Then it looks exactly like the pix in example. It takes maybe 5 mins effort the first time and after that it's just a matter of logging in your workout. Nothing fancy, but customizable, clear, convenient, and easy to use.
This was a total disappointment. I expected to see a page like the example. All I got was a lined sheet to type on. Can do that on the note pad that comes with the iPad2. Whiny is what I already do.
